Vietnam expects to have 3 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine and 3 million doses of Pfizer vaccine from now to September.

Vietnam has completed negotiations with at least four pharmaceutical companies to buy more than 120 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine this year, the Ministry of Health has announced.

All businesses, organizations and provinces are allowed to negotiate with suppliers of legal vaccine sources, but they must contact qualified agencies.

In the next two months, Vietnam will have at least 5 million more doses of AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines, according to Deputy Health Minister Do Xuan Tuyen.

Along with the 5K message, Vietnam is strictly implementing three counterattacks: large-scale testing; implementation of a vaccine strategy; and application of technology for Covid-19 tracing.

As planned, 1,682,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine provided by the Covax Facility arrived in Vietnam on May 16.
