According to the recruitment announcement posted on the Foxconn Vietnam website, the Taiwanese electronics contract manufacturer offers a salary of VND4.9 million for the post of electronic assembly worker, in addition to allowances for meal, accommodation (if they do not stay in the company’s dorms), travel, and attendance. With other allowances, a worker’s income can reach some VND8 million per month.

Workers will work at the industrial parks of Dinh Tram, Quang Chau, Van Trung in Bac Giang and the Que Vo Industrial Park in Bac Ninh.

Besides this, Foxconn Vietnam is recruiting 14 supplier quality engineers. Fresh graduates are welcomed for this post.

Foxconn entered the Vietnamese market in 2007, with the establishment of the first two plants in Bac Ninh and Bac Giang. Over 13 years of operations, the company has steadily expanded its business and set up additional companies, according to Zhuo Xianhong, general director of Hong Hai Science and Technology Group in Vietnam.

As of last year, its total investment in Vietnam was US$1.5 billion, with more than 53,000 employees. Of this, it invested US$900 million in Bac Giang and is employing over 35,000 people. This year, it is set to pour an additional US$700 million into the province and hire 10,000 more employees.  SGT
