As many as 17,386 cases of drunk driving were handled in January with a total fines of more than VND53 billion ($2.27 million), according to the Ministry of Public Security’s Traffic Police Department.
Over 11,500 drivers caught without driving licenses
Among the traffic safety violations recorded between July 15 and 29, as many as 11,597 drivers nationwide were caught driving without a license or with a fake one, according to statistics from the Traffic Police Department.
