Becamex Binh Duong FC received a reward of VND300 million from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) after reaching the final of the AFC Cup ASEAN Zone.
Despite suffering a 2-1 loss to Indonesia’s PSM Makassar in the second leg tie of the semifinals, Becamex Binh Duong were able to progress to the finals thanks to the away goals rule after the tie finished 2-2 on aggregate.
As a result, the VFF decided to present a bonus of VND300 million to Becamex Binh Duong FC for their magnificent efforts.
This follows Hanoi FC also receiving a bonus of VND300 million from the VFF after making it to the 2019 AFC Cup ASEAN Zone final for the first time in their history.
The semifinal results mean that the final will be an all Vietnamese affair with Becamex Binh Duong FC and Hanoi FC facing off against each other.
Hanoi FC will have the home advantage going into the first leg with the tie being played at the Hang Day stadium on July 31.
The two teams will then play the second leg on August 7 at the Go Dau stadium in Binh Duong. VOV
