Currently on loan from V-League champions Hanoi FC, Van Hau makes his debut appearance for SC Heerenveen by coming on as a substitute in the 89th minute.

The defender got to spend a total of four minutes on the pitch getting used to playing with his new SC Heerenveen teammates.

In making his debut for the Dutch side, Van Hau becomes the first Vietnamese footballer to make an appearance in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Despite only making a cameo appearance, Van Hau managed to pick up a yellow card in injury time.

It is hoped that by handing the 20-year-old player his debut he will gain more confidence and strive to improve in the future.

Van Hau takes a selfie and notes that his debut for the Dutch side is one of the most memorable moments of his life.
