The annual tournament began in Ho Chi Minh city on July 13 and concluded in the Mekong Delta province of An Giang on July 18 following six legs measuring a total distance of 553km which went through 12 regional provinces and cities. The final stage of the competition saw cyclists go from Vi Thanh city to Long Xuyen city.

A number of local officials and competing athletes take part in the closing ceremony of the tournament.

The cycling competition has seen nine Vietnamese teams take part alongside four foreign teams from the RoK, Australia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

Organisers note that the benefits of the competition include broadening international exchanges and promoting images of the nation’s landscapes and people to foreign friends. Moreover, the event also provides both domestic and foreign cyclists with an opportunity to compete and improve their skills.

Kim Hyun Ji of the RoK’s Seoul Cycling Team is the winner of both the yellow and blue jerseys.

The RoK’s Seoul Cycling Team is awarded the championship title. In second place is the Navy Womens Team of the Philippines with Malaysia’s Natipnal Cycling Team in third.
