The second leg will take place on April 15 at Thong Nhat Stadium in HCM City.

As planned, the first match had been scheduled to take place at Thong Nhat Stadium with the second game arranged for Laos. However, the April 15 date of the second fixture coincides with the Bunpimay Festival in the neighbouring Southeast Asian country, causing AFC to swap the dates of the respective ties.

With one win and one draw, HCM City temporarily top Group F with four points, while other Vietnamese representative Quang Ninh Coal are bottom of Group G with just one point.

Earlier, AFC Cup matches involving Vietnamese teams had been relocated after the country's government banned the hosting of sporting events in the country due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Accordingly, HCM City's match first meeting with Burmese club Yangon United took place in Myanmar on February 11 instead of being held at Thong Nhat Stadium as planned, with the return fixture provisionally scheduled for Vietnam on April 29. — VNS
