The show will see the popular singer perform her hit “De Mi noi cho ma nghe” to the audience of Japanese and Korean fans.

Linh will take to the stage alongside a 10-member dance troupe and will be dressed in a H'Mong traditional costume designed by Vietnamese stylist Hoang Ku.

This year’s ABU TV Song Festival will also attract a range of performances by other foreign artists from more than 10 countries. Other participants include the band Twice from the Republic of Korea, Dan Sultan from Australia, Dimash Kudaibergen from Kazakhstan, A. R. Rahman from India, and the band Hey! Say! JUMP from Japan.

In previous occasions a number of other Vietnamese artists have represented the country at the event. They include Van Mai Huong and rock band Ngu Cung who took part in 2013, Ngoc Anh with a performance in 2014, and Dinh Manh Ninh in 2015.

First launched in 2012, the ABU TV Song Festival is an annual non-competitive gala which showcases popular Asian performers. Oganised by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), it is based on the Eurovision Song Contest.
