With the theme of “Green Dream”, the second HCMC puppetry festival features a host of exciting activities that are expected to bring the traditional art closer to the public and international tourists, according to the Government’s news site.

Puppeteers from many puppetry troupes will join a parade on the pedestrian street every evening during the festival, with colorful traditional puppetry costumes, bold makeup and joyful music.

Visitors can also explore the art of puppetry through displays of giant puppets, puppetry tools, and interactions with puppeteers and puppet makers.

A highlight of the festival will be unique puppet shows on the main stage and other additional stages along the pedestrian street each night, featuring some 150 artists from across the country.

There will also be many side events including an online photo contest, interactive games, and puppet making demonstrations. VGP/VOV
