A total of 5,000 early bird tickets for the upcoming tie between Vietnam and Thailand in the second qualifying round of the Asian zone of the World Cup 2020 have already sold.
The tickets are being sold both online and at ticket booths. The FAT are to continue selling the remaining tickets to Thai fans at 10:00 on August 11, whilst Vietnamese fans will only be able to purchase tickets in the away end from August 19.
The Southeast Asian derby is scheduled to take place on September 5 at the Thammasat stadium, which is located on Thammasat University's Rangsit campus in Rangsit city.
The ground has a total capacity of 20,000.
According to the Vietnam Football Federation, the FAT are only putting 2,000 tickets on sell to Vietnamese fans, less than 10 per cent of the stadium’s total seating capacity.
