Vietnam, Taiwan (China) and Myanmar will be competing in Group I of the 2022 AFC U23 Asian Cup qualification.

Taiwan’s withdrawal of its hosting bid has forced the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to change Group I fixtures to meet the requirements of the hosts.

Vietnam will take on Taiwan (China) on October 27 and then Myanmar on November 2 at Dolon Omurzakov stadium in capital Bishkek.

All players coached by Park Hang-seo of the Republic of Korea are now training at the Vietnam Young Football Training Centre on the outskirts of Hanoi capital.

They are scheduled to fly to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on October 8 for another training camp and have a friendly match against U23 Kyrgyzstan before moving to Kyrgyzstan for their qualifying fixtures.

They aim to stay atop Group I and cruise into the final round of the 2022 AFC U23 Asian Cup due to take place in Uzbekistan in June 2022.
