Vietnam's national U19 football team are set to play Mongolia in their opening match of the qualifying round for the AFC U-19 Championship.

The fixture is scheduled to kick-off at 19:00 with the Thong Nhat stadium in Ho Chi Minh City hosting the game on November 6.
During the tournament’s qualifying round, Vietnam’s U19 squad have been drawn in Group J, along with Japan, Mongolia, and Guam.
Aside from the Japanese team who are considered to be one of the national team’s strongest rivals, the remaining teams in the group should provide easier ties for the Vietnamese team.
During a press conference held on November 5, head coach Phillippe Troussier said national the team are aiming to earn a place in the final round of the 2020 AFC U-19 Championship.
After their opening match against Mongolia, Vietnam will play Guam on November 8 before facing Japan on November 10. VOV
