Van Tuan was able to beat off competition from 29 other contestants to make the pageant’s Top 10 and then go on to win the Mister Grand International 2019 crown. In the process he also won two sub-categories, including Missology Choice and Best Formal Wear.

Following Van Tuan, the pageant’s four runners-up were made up of the contestants from Puerto Rico, Thailand, the Philippines, and Brazil.

The win represents the first time that a Vietnamese representative has claimed the highest prize at Mister Grand International.

24-year-old Nguyen Van Tuan currently works as a model, he is from the city of Hai Duong and stands at 1.85 metres tall with measurement of 106-78-99. He has previous experience competing in pageants, having finished in the Top 30 of Supermodel Vietnam 2018 and being named the winner of Mister Hanoi 2019.

The handsome man notes his pride at being able to represent Vietnam, in addition to achieving such a strong result in the international male pageant. He adds that he will try his best to complete all necessary tasks with enthusiasm during his term.

Starting on November 6 in Myanmar, Mister Grand International 2019 saw the participation of 30 contestants worldwide.

Van Tuan wears a unique national costume during the pageant. The model’s style helps him win the Best Formal Wear sub-category.
