Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh and Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics discussed measures to promote relations between Vietnam and Latvia during their talks in Hanoi on July 17.

A high-ranking delegation from Hanoi led by Vice Secretary of its Party Committee Dao Duc Toan has paid a working tour starting July 31 to Belarus, Latvia and Croatia.

 Latvia said its banking system operations in euros have been stable and smooth since entering the eurozone and became the bloc's 18th member early Wednesday.
