The Ministry of Home Affairs has agreed to a proposal for a seven-day Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday in 2023 by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA).

More than 3,000 railway tickets are available for sale from Tuesday, according to State operator Vietnam Railways, in response to the rising travelling demand during Tet, the traditional Lunar New Year Holiday.

 Airlines have offered a number of promotional programmes as well as increasing more flights in order to serve demand on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.

Civil servants and State employees will enjoy four days off work during the upcoming New Year celebrations, in addition to nine days off in mid-February for the Lunar New Year festival, known as Tet, following an approval by the Prime Minister.
