17 Politburo members to run for National Assembly election

Of the 18 Politburo members, 17 have been nominated to run for the 15th National Assembly. The only Politburo member who will not stand for election is Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nen.

On the list of 205 people introduced by central agencies to run for the 15th National Assembly, which was consulted for the second time on March 18, there are 16 Politburo members.

The Ministry of Finance recently held a conference to introduce Politburo member and Finance Minister Dinh Tien Dung to run for the new National Assembly.
