NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan speaks at the closing session on April 19.

Addressing the meeting, the NA Chairwoman said that the NA Standing Committee has fulfilled the set agenda with the adjustments to certain contents, adding that more attention was paid to the preparation of documents by the agencies concerned, which in turn facilitated the NA Standing Committee in reviewing issues and making decisions.

After ten days of working, the NA Standing Committee made comments on nine draft laws, a Government report on practicing thrift, drafted supervision programmes of the NA and NA Standing Committee, NA’s drafted law and ordinance building programme, and others.

NA Chairwoman Ngan asked the Government, NA Committees and agencies concerned to promptly perfect the bills, draft resolutions and supervision reports approved at the 33rd meeting to send to NA deputies, while finalising the draft resolutions to be signed for promulgation.

She noted that the 34th meeting of the NA Standing Committee is scheduled to open on May 8, 2019, to prepare for the seventh session of the 14th NA. The scheduled agenda for the session was announced to the related agencies to actively prepare for the working session.

She said that there is only one month to go until the opening of the seventh session of the 14th NA on May 20, thus asked the Government, ministries, sectors and NA Committees to quickly review and complete the preparation of contents to be summited to the NA to ensure their quality and progress.
