The countdown to Vietnam’s elections has begun. Next Sunday millions of people nationwide will go to the polls to choose their representatives at the National Assembly and all-level People’s Council. Here is a guide to this year’s vote.
Like voters on the mainland, citizens and soldiers on the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago are eagerly awaiting the day when they can select their representatives in legislatures at all levels.
All localities across the country have been ready for the general election, an important political event of the country which is slated for May 23, said Bui Van Cuong, General Secretary of the National Assembly and Chairman of the NA Office.
