The minister of Agriculture and Rural Development has confirmed that there will be enough food during Tet Holiday this year as some people raised concerns about pork shortages.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade over the past few months has proposed solutions to the prime minister to stabilize the local market in the lead up to the upcoming Tet holiday early next year.
As of June 24 ASF had broken out in 60 of the country’s 63 provinces and cities, and more than 2.6 million pigs had to be culled, severely affecting the pork demand-supply balance.
