This year's ICT summit will focus on digital transformation.

The summit is expected to see the attendance of about 800 delegates, including central and local government officials, business representatives and foreign guests.

In the morning, there will be two seminars on breakthrough solutions to accelerate digital transformation, namely developing ICT infrastructure and platform technologies, and application platforms.

The summit continues in the afternoon with another two seminars, focusing on digital transformation for the public and private sectors.

As part of Vietnam ICT Summit 2019, there will be an exhibition of digital transformation solutions and business matching activities for interested agencies, organisations and enterprises.

At this summit, the Alliance of Digital Transformation will be inaugurated, with its membership including leading technological firms in Vietnam such as Viettel, FPT, CMC, VNG, MobiFone.

A national digital transformation scheme is being drafted by the Ministry of Information and Communications and will be submitted to the Prime Minister in November.

Once adopted, the scheme will be the foundation for ministries, sectors, local authorities and enterprises to build and implement their digital transformation plans to support socio-economic development.

Held annually since 2011, the Vietnam ICT Summit is a technology policy forum that helps promote the role of information technology in national industrialisation and modernisation.

The event is jointly organised by the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Software and IT Service Association. Nhan Dan
