PM approves project applying IT in law dissemination and education in VN

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has approved the “Enhancing the application of IT in law dissemination and education in the 2019-2021 period” project.

The specific objective of the project is to build a national electronic information dissemination and education portal on the basis of upgrading the legal information and dissemination and education website of the Ministry of Justice, linking, sharing, and updating full information on the law in a uniform and unified way throughout the country.

By 2020, Vietnam will strive for 100 per cent of ministries, branches, unions, and localities to build and complete an electronic information portal or website to provide accurate, complete and timely information about laws, direct and guide law dissemination and education in accordance with their assigned functions, tasks and powers, and link and share with the Ministry of Justice’s electronic education and information portal.

By 2021, Vietnam will build and complete law dissemination and education databases, national electronic law bookcases, products with digital content, law information and dissemination and education software, and increase interaction, exchange and sharing of multidimensional information between State agencies and people and businesses through online dialogue and other law-disseminating forms.

Implementation is to be maintained in subsequent years.

The Ministry of Justice is responsible for upgrading technical infrastructure, ensuring the operations of the electronic information portal, and promulgate regulations on updating, managing, operating and accessing law dissemination and education databases.

Ministries, branches, mass organizations, and localities will coordinate in providing and integrating law information and dissemination and education information and data in accordance with the functions, tasks and rights assigned to publish the electronic law dissemination and education portal under regulations on updating, managing, operating and accessing law dissemination and education databases of the Ministry of Justice.
