The best team in Vietnam will be chosen for the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2019 in Mongolia in August, which will bring together the best team of each country in the Asia-Pacific region to compete on the international playground.

Robocon Vietnam is an annual robot contest having been held by the Vietnam Television (VTV) since 2002. As a new feature of this year’s contest, the organizers have created live-streaming sessions on social media to provide technical assistance for participating students.

The ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest was founded in 2002 by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union. In the competition, robots compete to complete a task within a set period of time. The contest aims to create friendship among young people with similar interests who will lead their countries in the 21st century, as well as help advance engineering and broadcasting technologies in the region.

ABU Robocon 2019 is going to be held in Ulaanbaatar, the capital and largest city of Mongolia, with the slogan "Sharing the knowledge". This year contest’s theme of “Great Urtuu” is inspired by a traditional messenger system of Mongolia called Urtuu, which was innovated by the nomadic Mongolians for exchanging information in a long distance.
