These firms will not be able to handle Japanese visa applications for their clients for six months from November 1, 2019, to April 30 next year.

Among these enterprises, as many as 19 firms are located in Hanoi City, while the remainder are headquartered in Bac Giang, Thanh Hoa, Nam Dinh, Nghe An, Thai Nguyen, Gia Lai, Bac Ninh and Ha Nam provinces and the central cities of Hue and Danang.

Apart from this, the embassy also announced that 17 firms have been taken off the list. The majority of these firms are located in Hanoi.

Earlier, in August, the embassy released a list of 37 overseas education consulting firms in Vietnam that had been stripped of their role as a representative of student clients in applying for Japanese visas.

From the list, except for the firm in Thua Thien-Hue Province, which may face a permanent ban, 23 were subject to suspension from August 1 to January 31, 2020.

Meanwhile, one was suspended between June 20 and December 20 and 11 others were not allowed to apply for Japanese visas for Vietnamese students from June 1 to December 1. Another firm was suspended between May 20 and November 20.

The embassy recently introduced the hotline 1900 06 88 80 to instruct users on how to apply for Japanese visas. The Vietnamese applicants can call the hotline from 8.30 a.m. to 5.15 p.m. Monday to Friday for instructions.

Besides this, applicants can visit the embassy’s website at https://www.vn.emb-japan.go.jp/itpr_ja/VN_VisaTOP.html for more information on visa applications. SGT
