On the evening of July 19, the Task Force for Drug Prevention and Control No.2 in coordination with the police of Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province held a propaganda session on Law on Road Traffic and the Law on Prevention of Drug-related Crime
in Cam Duong commune, Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province.
The event was held in order to raise awareness of people in coastal areas about the prevention of crime and drug evils and awareness of observing the road traffic rules, contributing to improving the effectiveness of crime prevention, minimize cases of traffic accidents, ensuring security and order in the coastal area of Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province.
The propaganda session consisted of 3 main contents: propaganda on road traffic law, propaganda on measures to prevent and fight crime and drug evils and presenting gifts to disadvantaged families.
The propaganda session held at the yard of the cultural house of Lien Huong village, Cam Duong commune attracted more than 320 people.
The speakers of the Task Force for Drug Prevention and Control No.2 introduced to all officers and people in the commune about the harms of drugs, especially synthetic drugs, methods and tricks of drug criminals. They also guided people on how to prevent and disseminated a number of provisions of law related to drug prevention; informed them of the situation of drug crimes on sea routes, at the same time mobilized and instructed people how to handle when detecting or recovering drugs drifting on the sea during the process of labor or production.

The propaganda team also distributed 960 propaganda flyers of all kinds, awarded 10 gifts (worth 3,000,000 VND/gift) to 10 disadvantaged households; 10 bicycles, 50 helmets to poor pupils and youth union members in the commune.
This is a practical activity aimed at raising the people's awareness of law observance towards drug prevention and fighting and the sense of law observance when participating in traffic for people; contributing to ensuring security and order in the assigned area; At the same time, enhancing solidarity between the Coast Guard and local people.
