One of the women, Pham Thi Thien Ha said she took the severely injured Linh back to his room instead of bringing him to the hospital so Linh died soon afterwards.

The group then brought Linh's body to another rental house to continue the training and practice. Linh's body was encased in concrete at the new place.

However, Ha said Thanh showed unusual signs so she asked him to fast again and locked him in his room. Thinking that Thanh was possessed by the devil, the women then bought electric actuator to knock Thanh out and strangled him to death. Thanh injured Ha's hands during the struggle.

Thanh's body was abandoned in his room for two to three days until the smell became unbearable. The women then encased his body in concrete and moved to a hotel in Thu Dau Mot City to continue training.
