ISPH is fully committed to the ideal of meeting its vision of becoming Vietnam's premier international school. ISPH is the latest international school to open in Hanoi in the past three years, and the first new opening since the Vietnamese government eased strict regulations on admissions. Under Decree 86, local children can now make up to 50 percent of an international school’s student body. Previously, the percentages of Vietnamese primary and secondary students in international schools were limited to 10% and 20%, respectively.

ISPH is set to be an all-through school by 2024, with plans to open years 1-8 this year; nursery and reception classes in 2020; and years 9-13 from 2020-2024. Teaching will follow the UK National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS); IGCSEs and A Levels will eventually be offered to secondary and college students. All lessons will be taught in English with the exception of Vietnamese and foreign language classes. In addition to the academic program, ISPH offers a daily program of extra-curricular activities.

The school is opening within the green and beautiful township of ParkCity Hanoi, which is a 77.4 hectare residential community on the western fringe of Hanoi that has become popular with families.

International standard facilities will include classrooms, science labs, creative arts workshops, drama, dance and music studios, a library, technology suites, multi-purpose hall, and a canteen. To support its PE curriculum and after-school sports clubs, the school will have a covered swimming pool, Astroturf sports field, Astroturf playground, tennis courts and a gymnasium.

ISPH is the second international school operated by the ParkCity Group, which opened a sister school in Malaysia in 2011 – the International School@ParkCity Kuala Lumpur (ISPKL). ISPKL currently has more than 1,100 students representing over 50 nationalities, and it was recently judged to be an “Outstanding School” through accreditation with the Education Development Trust and was awarded the International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM) at Gold Level.This success will be emulated at ISPH.

The academic staff at ISPH are all highly qualified and experienced professionals. The whole School Leadership Team, along with several teachers, are transferring to ISPH from the sister school in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

ISPH’s founding Principal Rik Millington, who previously worked at the ISPKL campus, has 20 years’ experience in education. He has worked in schools in the UK, the UAE, the Philippines and Malaysia.

The International School@ParkCity Hanoi (ISPH) is currently enrolling students aged five to 13 years for its year 1-8 classes.
