Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Binh, deputy head of the Traffic Police Division, told Tuổi Trẻ (Youth) newspaper that at the checkpoints officials will measure the temperature of everyone entering by vehicle during non-peak times.

During peak hours the checks would be done randomly to avoid traffic jams, he said, adding people would be told to disinfect their hands and fill health declarations.
