High Command of Coast Guard Region 3 promotes dissemination of law to local people

At the event, the people and fishermen in Xuyen Moc commune, Dat Do district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province were informed about the recent situation of political security and safety of the sea and islands; the position, role and importance of Vietnam's sea and islands in the cause of national construction and defense; the consistent viewpoints, policies of the Party and State on Vietnam's sovereignty over the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa, as well as in handling maritime situations.

The event was focused on providing information on the Vietnam Coast Guard Law and documents detailing and guiding the implementation of the Law; positions, roles, duties and powers of the Coast Guard in the management and protection of the sea and islands of the country; building the revolutionary, regular, elite and modern Vietnam Coast Guard, which is a specialized force of the State, the people's armed forces, the core of the law enforcement to protect national security and safety at sea; information on some basic contents on how to recognize and prevent harms of drugs to the community.

Also on this occasion, a working group of the High Command of Coast Guard Region 3 distributed more than 800 leaflets to propagate about the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard.

The event aimed to raise the awareness and responsibility of the authorities and agencies at all levels and the people for the cause of the nation's management and protection of sea and islands and the responsibility to build the revolutionary, formal, elite, and modern Vietnam Coast Guard.
