Some of Nhat Cuong Mobile shops as well as the house of the company’s leader in Hanoi were raided by police on Thursday.
Nhat Cuong Mobile is the brand of Nhat Cuong Trading and Technical Services Ltd. Co. which has started trading in 2001 with nine retail shops in Hanoi, a guarantee centre in the northern region and an enterprise resource planning centre in the south.

Nhat Cuong is among the biggest mobile phone retailers in Hanoi. The firm’s legal representative is Bui Quang Huy.
Over recent years, Nhat Cuong has also entered the IT sector and won many large bidding packages. In 2017, it was honoured as one of Vietnam’s 50 biggest IT firms.
On Thursday morning, its shop on Ly Quoc Su Street, Hoan Kiem District, was raided by police. The police took out many sealed boxes and then transported them away.
On the same morning, the police checked an apartment at Golden Westlake Building in Hoang Hoa Tham Street, Ba Dinh District, where is said to be the house of the firm’s leader.

The raid also took place at the company’s shop on Tran Phu Street and the guarantee centre on Giang Vo Street. Lots of sealed carton boxes were transported away by the police.
On the same day, the system of the company’s shops closed.
Luong Tam Quang, the Ministry of Public Security’s spokesperson told reporters that the specific information about the case would be published soon.
Meanwhile, according to some local news sources, Nhat Cuong was suspected of being involved in smuggling activities.
