Though no measles-related death has been reported in Hanoi, 1,105 people have the disease, ten times more than the same time last year.
The Department of Health in Hanoi announced 89 people have caught the disease in the first week of May.
Health Department Deputy Director Hoang Duc Hanh warned that the disease would escalate in the next time when many diseases enter peak season countrywide.
Accordingly, to prevent the disease, health authority advised people to clean the environment hygiene and increase a person’s resistance and vaccinate children as per schedule.
Moreover, local administrations should increase information of disease prevention in summer season and parents should take their children to medical centers for vaccination. SGGP
