Police detained ten people for allegedly causing public disorder and damaging property in southern Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu Province.

On June 13, the People’s Committee of Tóc Tiên Commune decided to demolish illegal construction work on an area covering nearly eight hectares located near the committee’s office.

The construction was illegally started by a company who claimed they were investors in certain housing projects to sell housing plots and collect deposits from customers.

The committee issued a warning to people about the possible land scam by the company.

More than 100 people wearing uniforms from Alibaba Real Estate Joint Stock Company were disrupting security and order, shouting and asking the committee’s officers to leave the area.

Police officers from Phú Mỹ Town were sent to the scene. The group of people threw stones at their vehicles, breaking the windows.

The police detained the extremists for further investigation. VNS
