During the four days, the country saw 111 traffic accidents, causing 80 deaths and 79 injuries, almost the same to the same time of last year.

Traffic police nationwide dealt with nearly 2,700 violations, issuing fines of up to VND2.5 billion (USD108,695) and detaining 497 vehicles.

This year, the break for the Reunification Day and Labour Day holiday lasted five days until May 2.
