Trees uprooted as storm Mun ravages Haiphong

Tropical storm Mun has ravaged the northern city of Haiphong, leaving trees uprooted.

Early this morning, July 4, Haiphong experienced rain and strong winds, uprooting many trees on local streets.

Environmental workers had to clear roads of trees from the early morning.

Cat Hai and Do Son districts have faced very high winds.

The storm has also affected some other localities, including Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces.

The National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting forecasted that the storm would move west-northwest at a speed of 10-15 kilometres per hour within the next 24 hours and then weaken into a tropical depression.
