Bau Trang which is often nicknamed Vietnam’s Little Sahara Desert has become a must-visit destination in Binh Thuan Province.
The white sand dunes are located in Hong Lam Village, Bac Binh District. In order to reach Bau Trang, tourists can travel along National Highway 1A from Phan Thiet City to Luong Son or via Mui Ne Town and Hon Rom Island.
Since Bau Trang is located between Bau Ong and Bau Ba lakes, the sand dunes look like they are surrounded by the lotus flowers in the summer. The best time to visit Bau Trang is from 5 am to 9 am and from 4 pm to 6 pm. During this time, tourists can take photos of the early morning or the sunset and the casuarina trees by the lakes make the area looks more attractive.
Motor-gliding is the most popular activities at Bau Trang where tourists can take time exploring the sand dunes. Visitors can go camping or rent a boat to go out onto the lakes. Bau Trang is becoming a must-see destination in Binh Thuan.
