Foreign tourists at Truc Mai Home Concert

 

 

In the first quarter of this year, the city attracted more international tourists for its art and folk music shows, which was among motivations for the city to conduct the trial tour to artists’ house.

Artist Dinh Linh and his wife Tuyet Mai has a Truc Mai Home Concert at 104 Pham Viet Chanh Street, Ward 19, Binh Thanh District. Since 2004, the place has become a familiar place for tourists.

It is also often called Vietnam’s first private traditional musical instrument museum.

Phuong Bao Music Centre at on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street in District 1 also lures many visitors who can play the instruments along with artists.

Meanwhile, Merited Artist Truong Son and his colleagues often perform Cai Luong at Thai Hung Temple to serve visitors.

According to Artist Hoang Song Viet he proposed the artists’ house model in 2007 when Tran Huu Trang Theatre in HCM City marked its 100th founding anniversary. At that time, visitors were welcomed backstage.

People’s Artist Phuong Bao said that the model would not bring much profit in the short run, but in the long run, with a proper strategy, this would promise more performance opportunities for artists.
