Modern A320/A321 aircraft will be used on the route, with flights departing from Da Nang at 10:50 a.m. and arriving in Taipei at 2:30 p.m.

The return flight takes off from Taipei at 3:30 p.m. and lands in Danang at 5:30 p.m. (all in local times).

To celebrate the new route, numerous discounted tickets priced from VND0 (*) are being given away between noon and 2 p.m. from August 27 to 29 at www.vietjetair.com and on the Vietjet Air mobile app.

The promotional tickets can be applied to all routes connecting HCMC/Hanoi/Danang to Taipei/Taichung/Tainan/Kaohsiung, with the flight period from October 1 to June 30, 2020.

Jay Lingeswara, director of international sales and distribution at Vietjet, said the new route is a part of the plan to expand Vietjet’s flight network to ensure more flying opportunities for residents and travelers.

Currently, more than 3,000 passengers can depart easily each day from Hanoi, Danang and HCMC for big cities in Taiwan, including Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung and Tainan, as the airline offers a high frequency of flights and convenient flight times.

In the coming years, Vietjet will continue to open new routes to help connect local provinces to various countries in the region, promoting tourism and trade and making it easy for people to travel from their hometowns without moving to big citites, Lingeswara said.
