The Khau Pha pass has been chosen as the venue for the event due to it being one of the longest mountain passes in Vietnam.

Both domestic and foreign pilots will have the chance to exchange tips, techniques, and learn from one another.

The pilots will also be running flights for visitors who wish to see the spectacular scenery from above.

To run alongside the occasion, Mu Cang Chai district’s authorities are to hold a wide range of activities such as a rural market that displays traditional products which will be open for local people and tourists.

In addition to this, a festival which honours the cultural value of the Khen (panpipe) used by ethnic minority minority people will also be held.

Sightseeing tours to famous destinations throughout Yen Bai will also take place.

Luong Thi Xuyen, vice chairwoman of Mu Cang Chai district People’s Committee, said that this will be the second consecutive year that the festival is held in Yen Bai province and expects this year’s event to attract more tourists after a push to promote the festival.
