According to a report sent by the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the fabric factory project which is being built with total investment of USD260 million on an area of 27 hectares in Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Zone by Texhong Industrial Park Vietnam Limited Company, has received the investment certificate last November.
Although some other administrative procedures need to be completed, the project has began construction in early 2019 and has completed several components.
On April 8, the Quang Ninh People's Committee ordered the Chinese company to stop the construction of the project until they complete all legal procedures, and Texhong Industrial Park Vietnam on May 2 announced that they had complied with the order, the report said.
The factory project is part of a series of coastal projects by Texhong Textile Group near the Vietnamese-Chinese border in Quang Ninh's Mong Cai City and Hai Ha District.
Hai Ha Industrial Park, which has been built since November 2014, is the largest foreign invested project in Quang Ninh with the total registered capital of USD450 million on a total area of 660 hectares. Dtinews
