The trip is part of a program to enhance bilateral investment cooperation between SAPA Thale Group and the government and leading firms of the Republic of Serbia. Joining the trip with Minh are other leaders of SAPA Thale Group, including CEO Nguyen Dac Nghiep, who is also a German congressman.

According to Minh, the potential areas for the investment cooperation of the above program include finance and banking, hi-tech development, infrastructure development, environment, energy, transportation, real estate, hotels and tourism, agriculture, sports and not only in Serbia, Germany, but also in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Japan, China, the UAE and many countries around the world.

Minh, who was recently praised by the International Business Times as a great investor, an influential billionaire in global financial circles and governments, hoped that the program would help promote trade-economic cooperation between Germany, Serbia and Vietnam.

In early June, Mr. Mai Vu Minh - Chairman of SAPA Thale group and Mr. Nguyen Dac Nghiep - CEO of SAPA Thale and German congressman led a SAPA Thale delegation to pay a working visit to the Republic of Serbia.

In 2017, First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Serbian Ivica Dačić paid an official visit to Vietnam and met with Vietnamese PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

At the meeting, the two sides agreed to promote trade and economic cooperation and especially need to organize more exchanges between businesses of the two countries.

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that in the future, the two sides should actively exchange delegations at all levels, strengthen the cooperation between ministries, branches and localities, reinforce business connections and maintain and further bring into play the traditional friendly relations between the peoples of the two countries.

By the fact that economic cooperation between the two countries is still modest with bilateral trade turnover reaching only $25 million in 2016, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc proposed the two sides should create more opportunities to exchange and cooperation between firms of the two countries, thereby grasping the market and each other's strengths.

Vietnam is ready to act as a bridge for Serbian businesses to access markets in Southeast Asia, the Vietnamese PM affirmed.
