Accordingly, a wide range of activities will be held on the occasion including a host of seminars to review the conservation of Hoi An and My Son over the two decades, outline orientations for preserving and promoting the value of the heritage sites in the future and heighten community responsibility for preservation work.
The celebrations are set to be held at 8pm on September 8 at the temple complex at My Son Sanctuary in Duy Xuyen district.
Some 4,500 domestic and international delegates and locals are expected to participate in these events with artistic performances being the highlight of the ceremony.
In addition, cultural and sports activities will be launched to mark this occasion which would involve the VTV International Women's Volleyball Cup and a photo exhibition displaying 100 sculptures and paintings slated for September 7-15.
