The gala, organised by the Pháp luật Thành phố HCM (HCM City Law) newspaper, was due to take place in HCM City’s Youth House of Culture.
The annual football awards aims to honour fair performances and the rejection of violence. Winners receive nominations from sports reporters, editors, supervisors, referees and football experts nationwide.
The organising board announced five candidates for the Fair Play Awards 2019 including two mobile polices giving first aid to a children at Thien Truong Stadium in the northern province of Nam Dinh; two fans supplying food to men’s and women’s football team at SEA Games 30; timely reaction of referee Ngo Duy Lan at Go Dau Stadium in Binh Duong Stadium; U22 Vietnam’s team spirit at SEA Games 30 and midfielder Chuong Thi Kieu swallowing her pain to compete with her teammates at SEA Games in the Philippines.
Related to the spreading of coronavirus, the National Sports Administration also asked to postpone all sport tournaments in national and international competition system in Vietnam in February, limit training sessions outdoor of athletes as well as cancel all sport activities involved in many people held in locals.
