According to reports from Korean media, the nation’s final group game against Thailand is a highly anticipated match up.
Since becoming the national team’s manager, Korean head coach Park Hang-seo has enjoyed plenty of success.
Most notably, the team’s run to the 2018 AFC U-23 Championship Final brought great pride to Korean football fans, with many now keen to follow his work with the Vietnamese national team.
The move comes after Korean broadcasters SBS and KBS purchased the rights to broadcast all of Vietnam’s matches during the AFF Cup.
There is clearly plenty of demand among viewers to watch the Vietnamese national team, with the respective Korean TV channels recording 20 per cent of all viewers when broadcasting games involving Vietnam, higher than the average number of viewers for baseball games in the East Asian country. VOV
