Ngoc Thao showed off her body measurements of 85-63-92 cm in the bikini performance.

In the evening gown performance, she revealed her slender legs and outstanding appearance in a cut-out design.

The semi-final took place quietly due to limited lights on the stage and restricted number of spectators because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Contestants employed their skills to impress the judges: The Japanese representative revolved five rounds during the swimsuit show; the Finnish contestant turned three rounds and almost fell at the end of her swimsuit performance; the Panamanian representative turned around and threw away the flap like turning her evening gown into a bikini.

The final night of the Miss Grand International 2020 will take place on March 27 in Bangkok, Thailand. Ngoc Thao is expected by Vietnamese fans to enter the top ten contestants.

Ngoc Thao, 21, is a student at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. In addition to the title of second runner-up Miss Vietnam 2020, she won the Miss Sea sub-award and Top 5 Fashion Beauty.

Miss Grand International is one of the six major global beauty contests which is held annually, alongside Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International, Miss Earth, and Miss Supranational. After seven competitions, the contest stopped the 2020 event due to the pandemic. Kieu Loan - Vietnam's 2019 representative - was in the top 10 with the title "Miss Popular" thanks to fans' votes.

In a costume weighing up to 30kg, Vietnamese representative Ngoc Thao looked outstanding among 63 competitors in the national costume competition at the Miss Grand International pageant, held on the evening of March 24.
