traditional tet market set to be recreated in da nang hinh 0

Huynh Dinh Quoc Thien, Director of the Da Nang Museum, stated that the Tet market has become a unique tradition of Vietnamese culture where people visit in the buildup to the Lunar New Year.

Both the central city’s residents and tourists will be able to immerse themselves in the market’s shopping experience whilst simultaneously enjoying the bustling atmosphere of a traditional space. Visitors will also be able to wish for peace and prosperity ahead into the New Year.

The Tet Market will recreate many of the community’s cultural activities with pavilions displaying local specialties such as Nam O fish sauce, Cam Le sesame crackers, and Tuy Loan rice paper.

In addition, visitors to the area will also have the opportunity to experience creating traditional items, such as writing calligraphy, wrapping Chung cake, and making paper flowers under the guidance of artisans.

Most notably, guests will be able to join food pavilions and sample some of the nation’s traditional dishes, or alternatively participate in activities such as folk games.

During the fair, special art programs will be organized, including a performance of Choi singing by artisans to pray for good luck and fortune in the New Year. VOV
