The AFC recently announced bonuses and financial support for teams which qualify for the tournament, in order to help them compete in the finals of the AFC Asian Cup.
According to the decision, the 12 teams which qualify for the continental tournament in China will receive a sum of US$200,000 each.
The teams who make it into the semi-finals will be awarded a sum of US$1 million, while the runner-ups will be presented with US$3 million.
The winners of the competition will also receive prize money of US$5 million from the AFC.
On top of their recent historic achievement of advancing to the third round of Asian World Cup qualifiers for the first time, the Vietnamese national football team also qualified for the finals of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup
Currently, 17 teams are participating in the qualifying rounds, namely Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Jordan, the Philippines, Bahrain, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Palestine, Malaysia, Afghanistan, India, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kygyzstan, Mongolia, and Turkmenistan.

VFF recognised as A Level member of AFC
The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) said the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on June 18 officially announced the recognition of A Level membership for the VFF related to the AFC Coaching Convention.
