As of June 3 the Vietnamese film had earned US$350,000 following its debut week in the US to reach tenth position on the list.
At the top of the rankings is the blockbuster "A quiet place 2" after it made US$47.5 million, whilst second spot went to "Cruella" with US$21.4 million.
At present “Bo Gia” is being shown in 35 cinemas across the US.
The Vietnamese film tells the story of the daily lives of a poor family in Ho Chi Minh City. The father is played by famous comic Tran Thanh and faces many challenges when raising his two sons alone.
The film originally premiered in Vietnam on March 12, going on to break all recent ticket sale records for Vietnamese films after earning VND400 billion, equal to US$18 million, thereby becoming the highest-grossing Vietnamese movie of all time.

Since it was launched on March 3, “Bo Gia” (Old Father), a family movie starring comedian and TV host Tran Thanh, has earned VND400 billion (nearly $20 million), a record in the country's cinema history.
