Barbier will offer a special music night to the audience of L’Espace with well-known pieces such as “Sonata in C major” by Mozart, “Barcarolle” by Chopin, “Nun komm ‘der Heiden Heiland” by Bach-Busoni, “Nocturne no. 4” by Fauré, and “Widmung” by Schumann-Liszt.

Whether it is a folk song, a Lied (a German form of songs) or an opera, all the composers’ aim is to make the piano sing the most beautiful melodies.

Barbier has distinguished herself as a versatile artist who is as much at home with piano concertos as with the chamber music repertoire.

She has performed with numerous orchestras in recent years, including the Estonian National Orchestra, Zagreb Radio Orchestra, China National Symphony Orchestra, Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Symphony Orchestra, and the New Chamber Orchestra of Potsdam.

She has been a guest soloist in world-renowned concert halls such as the Philharmonie in Berlin, Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, Beijing Concert Hall and the Palau de la Musica in Valencia.

Barbier was born in Paris to French-Vietnamese parents and grew up in Africa and southern France. After completing her diploma at the Paris Conservatory under Pierre-Laurent Aimard, she studied with her highly esteemed professor and mentor Maria Curcio in London.

Her piano concert at the L’Espace will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets range from VND130,000 to VND210,000, with a special price of VND100,000 for students, and can be purchased at the L’Espace, 24 Trang Tien Street, Hanoi.
