The competition is the first time a global eSports tournament has ever been held in the nation with the championship title being the first time a Vietnamese team has been able to win such a prestigious eSports tournament.

Vietnam’s Team Flash was able to beat Taipei’s MAD Team, the previous year’s champions, 4-3 following an intense clash in the event’s finale.

The winning team was awarded a total of US$200,000 in prize money.
