The two chemistry and two biology medalists have chosen to become doctors in the future.

Most medalists chose Hanoi University of Natural Sciences under Vietnam National University in Hanoi, Hanoi Medical University and Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Only one student chose to study at a pedagogical school. He is Phan Huynh Tuan Kiet, the bronze medalist at the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), who was a math majoring student at the Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted in HCM City.

IMO

Do Bach Khoa, a former student at the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, gold medalist, said he has decided to study mathematics and computer science at École Polytechnique in Paris.

Truong Tuan Nghia, IMO 2020 gold medalist and IMO 2021 silver medalist, and Dinh Vu Tung Lam, silver medalist at IMO 2021, have applied for the Mathematics Faculty at the Hanoi University for Natural Sciences. Both were students at the high school for the gifted under the university.

Phan Huu An, who was also a student at the high school and won the bronze medal at IMO 2021, decided to study IT at the University of Technology, a member school of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Phan Huynh Tuan Kiet, a former student at the Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, majoring in mathematics, and IMO 2021 bronze medalist, will study mathematics pedagogy at the HCMC University of Education.

IPhO

Nguyen Manh Quan from the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, gold medalist at the 2021 International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) has left for the US to study physics at MIT with financial aid of $64,000 a year.

Tran Quang Vinh, also from a prestigious school of Hanoi, gold medalist, has not decided on a university yet. He now spends time on research at the Vietnam National Space Center under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. He wants to study astronomy.

Trang Dao Cong Minh from the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, gold medalist, decided to study physics at the Hanoi University of Natural Sciences.

Nguyen Trong Thuan from Lam Son High School for the Gifted in Thanh Hoa, silver medalist, will follow the advanced training program in biomedical engineering at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Bui Thanh Tan from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted in Nghe An, silver medalist, will study control engineering – automation at the same school.

IChO

Nguyen Duy Anh from the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, gold medalist at the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO), will study Odonto-Stomatology at Hanoi Medical University.

Nguyen Le Thao Anh from the same high school, who also won gold medal, will study pharmacy at Hanoi University of Pharmacy.

Pham Duc Nam Phuong from Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted, gold medalist, will study at Hanoi University of Natural Sciences.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Hoang Duong, who won gold medal in 2020 and silver in 2021, from the Hanoi High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences will study at Hanoi Medical University.

IBO

All the medalists at the International Biology Olympiad (IBO) will study medicine. Dang Le Minh Khang from Ly Tu Trong High School for the Gifted in Can Tho, gold medalist, will study at HCM City Medicine and Pharmacy University.

The other two silver medalists, Ha Manh Duy from VInh Phuc High School for the Gifted and Nguyen Thi Nga from Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, will study at Hanoi Medicine University.

IOI

Le Quang Huy from the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, enrolled in the IT Faculty at Hanoi University of Technology after winning the silver medal at the International Olympiad of Informatics (IOI).

Meanwhile, Ho Ngoc Vinh Phat, silver medalist, has chosen computer science at the HCM City University of Natural Sciences.
