A delegation from the Navy High Command delivered Tet gifts to soldiers serving on DK1 offshore platforms ahead of the traditional Lunar New Year festival, known locally as Tet.

| The delegation spends a total of 12 hard days between January 14 and January 25 attempting to reach four DK1 platforms. Whilst DK1/15 platform couldn’t be reached due to dangerous conditions, best wishes for the New Year were sent to soldiers through the information system. |

| Some of the gifts given to soldiers include apricot branches, kumquat trees, food, candy, cakes, sticky rice, and La Dong, also known as Dong leaves, which can be used to wrap Chung cake, a typical delicacy during Tet. |

A delegation from the High Command of Naval Zone 2 set sail on January 12 from Vung Tau city in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau to visit officers and soldiers on duty on DK1 Platforms
The traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) has arrived early for soldiers and islanders on Truong Sa district as ships are crossing rough seas to carry Tet gifts and supplies from all parts of the country to the locality.
